Happy Valentine's Day! As we celebrate love and all its joys, or placing our focus on finding love and opening our hearts to embrace relationships, it's important to acknowledge that this holiday can also bring up feelings of fear and uncertainty, especially when it comes to loving ourselves.


Self-love is a crucial aspect of a healthy and fulfilling life, yet it can be difficult to embrace and practice. We often compare ourselves to others and put ourselves down, leading to low self-esteem and negative self-talk. And sometimes the negative energy and our past experiences can block us from fully embracing love and experiencing its joys.


Clearing the area that surrounds and informs our physical experience, called our personal energy field, is a powerful way to open yourself up to love and create a positive, receptive space for new relationships.

Here are some tips for clearing your energy field:

  • Practice mindfulness and meditation to release stress and negative thoughts. This can help you tap into your inner peace and create a calm, centered energy and be receptive to more love.

  • Surround yourself with positive, uplifting people and environments. Avoid spending time with individuals who drain your energy and bring negativity into your life that leads to feeling less loving.

  • Engage in activities that raise your vibration, such as exercise, dancing, and spending time in nature.
  • Use crystals, such as rose quartz and amethyst, which are known for their ability to attract love and promote positive energy. Connecting to elements cultivated from the earth help us to feel more present and available to attract and accept love.
  • Play music that elevates your mood.  Maybe even get up and dance. No one is looking.

  • Visualize yourself surrounded by a bright, loving energy and imagine this energy permeating every aspect of your life. Lower emotions of doubt, regret, self-loathing and fear can not coexist with the higher frequencies associated with light and feelings of calm, peace and contentment.


By clearing your energy field and opening yourself up to love, you are creating a space for new and positive experiences to enter your life. So, this Valentine's Day, take some time to focus on yourself and your energy, and allow love to flow into your life.

This weekend I enjoyed time with long time friends.  I was reminded that after all that is said and done love thy self is our  base truth.  So I took out my watercolor art and my new found crocheting project to heart and found joy in their creation. So consider this:  Try to engage in activities that bring you happiness and joy, such as spending time with loved ones, practicing mindfulness, or indulging in a hobby. You can also write yourself a love letter, listing all the reasons why you are proud of yourself and why you deserve love and happiness.

This Valentine's Day, let's be encouraged to take some time for self-reflection and self-care. Treat yourself with kindness and compassion, and celebrate your unique qualities and accomplishments. Remember that you are worthy of love, including the love you have for yourself.
